The Samuel Goldwin, Jr. Center for Behavioral Health is housed in a beautifully constructed and contemporary facility featuring 12 private patient rooms and an outdoor recreational space on the beautiful, sprawling Wasserman Campus in Woodland Hills. It has been designed aesthetically and functionally to meet the unique mental health care needs of older adults and is available to the community at large, as well as for the entertainment community, which is MPTF’s core constituency.
Admissions
Admissions are accepted on a voluntary or involuntary basis and
Voluntary:
Individuals, 55 years of age or older, requiring intensive short-term care can be admitted 24/7.
Involuntary:
Individuals, 55 years of age or older, may be hospitalized involuntarily by being placed on a hold (LPS) if the person meets the legal criteria of being a danger to self or others or gravely disabled due to a mental disorder.

- Bipolar Disorder
- Dementia/Alzheimer’s w/behavioral disturbances
- Depression
- Schizophrenia
- PTSD
- Psychosis
Interdisciplinary Approach
The Center utilizes an individualized interdisciplinary approach, inviting patients and families to be integral contributors to each treatment plan. The staff partners with patients and families to rapidly relieve symptoms, optimize functional status, and develop aftercare plans to continue the healing process. Recovery is facilitated by a dedicated team including a psychiatrist; internist; nursing staff; social worker; and recreation therapy staff to meet comprehensive individualized goals.

About the Staff
The staff is committed to upholding patient confidentiality and safety. Professional oversight and services are provided by psychiatrists within the Aligned Telehealth Inc. group. Medical physicians are available as needed to manage any medical problems.
