Actor-producer Michael Douglas was inspired to get involved and give back by the example set by his father, the legendary Kirk Douglas. Over the years Michael has been an example of how Hollywood can be philanthropic and take care of its own, including the annual star-studded Michael Douglas & Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament benefiting MPTF.

At MPTF’s Reel Stories, Real Lives event in 2016, Michael concluded the evening with a heartfelt and moving reflection on the importance of MPTF’s mission and his thoughts on learning about generosity in Hollywood through lessons learned from his parents.
